The new ones look good but the black looks a lot better imo. Obviously it’s personal preference but the Mav just seems to mesh better with black wheels. I guess it’s just the aesthetics.

I love the look of black wheels, especially on the Maverick because they go so well with all the black trim on the truck. They look great in certain lighting but they are hard to see the wheel details and are a nightmare to photograph.
So I decided to swap out my gloss black Asanti ABL-27’s for a set of silver Rotiform SGN’s.
(and I finally tinted my windows)
What do you think? Silver or Black?

The black wheels looked Ok but IMO the Silver wheels look better.

I almost got a Silver 2024 Maverick with the FX4 package and Black wheels but ended up in a 2025 XLT AWD 2.0 EB Maverick with the Gray Wheels which i like better.

I'm so burned out on black wheels. They look bad when they're not clean and just blend into the tires and trim far too much.

Loving the Rotiforms, they're a good change.

Black shows more dirt and requires more cleaning than chrome.

I have always thought black wheels look like cars used to when they were missing a hubcap. I realize that might be showing my age. The black hides the detail and just doesn't look as good. But then again, silver seems so played out from decades of it that a change is nice.

I went with a speckled gray, had them powdercoated. Best of both worlds, looks great on Area 51 and hides dirt.

I do think the best wheel color depends on the vehicle's paint color also. On OP Chris's Mav, I do like the black.

All of us old guys are going to say CHROME. Just hard to find. Besides, everyone has black rims today, most Maverick people are leaders not followers! I went with 18" Bronco Sport rims when I got my 22 XLT. Like them with my Cyber Orange. But would love some Cragar S/S.

the answer is always anything but black.

you can't see any details in the wheels unless you're right on top of them. might as well have black steelies for all the more you can see an all-black alloy wheel.
