When I was having a rock chip repaired at my independent glass store I asked the manager/owner in office what the difference in price would be between the sound proof and the non. He replied "Not Much, some of the suppliers are not even carrying the non acoustic ones due to inventory holding cost they just substitute the acoustic one when needed".

The ones that independent glass places use is not the genuine Ford SoundScreen acoustic windshield.

I pay about $12/year more on Progressive Insurance for 100% glass coverage with zero deductible. They will use OEM if requested.

I have SF ins and carry glass coverage rider also. Good for glare from sand pitting replacement if vehicle kept more than 4+ years. (I have 100% also but for those with deductible most of glass installers will wave the deductable if asked.).

Waive the deductible ($50?) on glass if you ask! (Some will some will not!)

There are two versions of the Acoustic windshield because some Lariats have Heated Wiper Park and some do not. 2022 models for example the Lariat trim included the acoustic glass but the wiper de-icer was part of the Lariat luxury package.

Our 2023 Lariat hybrid has the Lux package and came with the Ford SoundScreen acoustic windshield with the heated windshield wiper park.

I'm not sure what years had more than one option for the acoustic windshield. But the 2022 Lariats did for sure because the wiper de-icer was not standard for the Lariat for 2022.

It was not standard in the 2023 Lariat. It was included in the Lariat Lux package.

Correct. I have a 2023 Lariat and the Luxury package with the Wiper De-Icer was an option. Then I think for 2024 the Wiper De-Icer was completely dropped and was no longer an option.
