New Update Tonight

Just for the heck of it did a scan for updates and it found one. Downloaded, installed and rebooted sync. Got message that update was installed. Not sure what it updated!? The audio software version and revision remained the same. First pic is downloading update and second picture is my current audio software version and revision (remained the same after update).

Hi! Yes. I usually check for updates with the engine running. Left engine running during download/install. When it finished I turned off truck. Waited a minute and started back up. Got message that update was installed. Checked audio software version/build and it was the same. I also did a manual reboot of sync and same result.

I don't know.. about downloading an "update".
Everything on my MAV, still works..

Doesn't a download have something to do with updating the ECU that runs the Mavs functions and not necessarily anything to do with the actual radio

Not 100% sure, but IIRC, the OTA updates available to the customer are only for the Infotainment system.

I'm hesitant to update anything software related on my truck including the bcm recall on the taillights. Everything is currently working so I'll wait it out a bit.

Atleast for my Sync 3, I updated from version 3.422251 to 3.423188 and it took care of the glitches I was having. Not one hiccup since.

Not sure if the standard infotainment updates have the same positive effect, though?

My 2022 Lariat refuses to auto/update- Always says up to date which it isn't. Ugh

I did the exact same update yesterday on my XLT, same result - update completed but no change in software version...
