I have a new Lobo 2oo miles, my sync 4 screen goes dark in day mode can barely see, was fine first few days.
I noticed when I take headlights out of auto mode screen goes back to normal, dealers going to look at it next week.
Other than that and 14.1 mpg which should get better when broken in, I hope, its a cool truck and a looker.
When in reverse screen is useless can't see parking lines, I loved that feature on my Lariat for parking.
This is my 3rd Maverick my 22FX4 for 3 years only got 17/18 local driving, 30/35 highway my 2nd 25 Lariat got 30/35, all the time, going to miss that one.
Only drive 5k a year now wanted fun not worried so much about mpg for now should get better.
FORD GUY YOU OUT THERE, HAVENT HEARD FROM YOU LATELY.

When your headlights are in Auto, they will turn on during the day if you drive under a bridge, through heavy shade, or if it's overcast. The second those headlights turn on, SYNC 4 instantly triggers "Night Mode" and drops the screen brightness to whatever your physical dash dimmer buttons are set to. If that physical dimmer got bumped all the way down, your screen goes completely dark during the day.

Look to the left of your steering wheel, right next to your main headlight switch. You’ll see a set of toggle buttons used to adjust your instrument cluster and screen brightness at night.
Turn your headlight switch back to Auto.
Press and hold the brightness UP button (usually the top button or the one with the larger sun/bulb icon).
Watch your SYNC 4 screen—it should instantly brighten up to a usable level.

This actually happened to me yesterday. It turned out my dash cover had slid over a little bit and was covering the sun sensor at the dash near the center of the windshield. As soon as I straightened out the dash cover, my brightness came back on. :)
