My android phone keeps losing connection in my 2024 Ford Maverick. This started after an android update about a month ago. I've tested various pairings of androids to android auto and it's definitely the truck (two samsungs work fine in the car but not in my truck). They will connect via android auto (wired through usb cables - several cables tried). How can I completely reset android auto in my truck or completely upgrade it even if I have to uninstall it

They will connect or won't?

Have you tried clearing data(storage) in phone settings/apps/Android Auto?

I had the same issue with android at the same time in my 2024. My wireless adapter has a reset button and that seems to have fixed my issue. And the other strange thing I noticed (which may or may not be new from that update) is if I keep my phone sleeping it always connects. But if I wake up my phone screen before it connects to the Maverick then it only intermittently connects. Hopefully either of these things helps your problem too. Good luck, keep us posted!

Other phones have the same issue with dropping connections to the Maverick even though they are using the USB (have tried both the usb and the usb-c). None of these phones drop their connection in other vehicles like the Camry or the CRV, it's only a problem in the Maverick.

I've gone in and did the clear cache and cleared data. No change though. I'm thinking it has to be a setting in the truck since the phones work everywhere else. Thanks

I have a similar problem with my phone.
I'll keep watching this thread in the event that someone comes up with a solution.

No luck so far. I may contact ford and see if there is a way to reset the apps in the truck.

I have the same issue. It used to work. Now it doesn't. Tried new cords, another phone, resetting Android auto. Looking for a solution.

Same problem. You're having mine work for a year and a 1/2? And suddenly just quit.

I'm not a huge fan of Android even when wired connection is used. Once lost it when using it to navigate through a very rough part of Atlanta in a rainstorm at night.
Fortunately, I just stopped and reset the whole thing and continued the routing. It is more fun when tech works instead of freezing. Maybe we'll get there someday. Carplay seems a little better and I now carry both when travelling.

Suddenly, after a month of not working, it started working again. No clue why. All I can guess is that there some automatic update fixed it. Never realized how much I like it.

Hold the power button and next buttons to force a system reset. Reboot the phone as well.
