I have bought 5 Fords last 10 years they all had cruise control and maybe used it 5 times.
We got the XLT primarily because my wife would not buy a car without cruise control. I am pretty certain it has yet to be used at all in the Maverick (in 6 months and ~4k miles) and it's probably been used half a dozen times in 7yrs and 70k miles in our jetta.
Seriously?!?!

I use cruise control going 2.5 miles to the grocery store. How are y'all not using it more than 10 times in 7 & 10 years? Cruise control is awesome!

Do you not know how it works? Do you have to check the manual every 12-18 months when you do decide to use it? :)

I agree I use cruise even on smaller 40 mph roads. Highway all the time, I know the people her saying they never use it,. There the ones I swear at on the road,. (not road rage ) They speed up then slow down then back up again. Pain in the but drivers,. I cant stand them., I drove 60 miles yesterday used cruise for most of it,. . Plus cop was radaring i set cruise at 45 mph in a 40 drove right by him. No worries. I just don t get drivers who refuse to make the drive easier.

I don't really see the purpose unless I am driving uninterrupted for long stretches. Most of our highway driving here is in traffic, so it's pretty much pointless, and it's pretty easy to be more efficient than CC when in normal driving.

Regular cruise is no good in traffic or around town, but adaptive cruise control is great everywhere. I use ACC in my Charger every time I drive, set it at 33 MPH around town and if the car in front of you hits their brakes right as you're checking your mirrors the car slows down/stops for you.

A new lariat at the dealer here is 15k over msrp. Expectations of the Maverick being a cheap truck out the window.
it has been the best vehicle I have owned. so much versatility in an efficient compact package.
Supply and demand . . . supply and demand dictate market value.

Congrats on the new mav. this thread drifted into discussion on the merits of cruise control😄. I thinks it just personal preference. I actually never use it, like ever. My wife uses the adaptive cruise control on our Pilot all the time. It’s crazy to see it in action. It works fine but it’s hard for me to put so much trust in it.
