My ‘23 XL, built in July of ‘23, has a new Customer Satisfaction Program. I noticed it when I checked the back up camera recall. It is for “Drivers side seat buckle replacement”.

I did a search for “Ford Campaign# ‘24N08’” and I’m not finding anything about the problem. Anyone have any information?

It is for a seat buckle replacement. Ford issued 8 recalls today. Five for the Maverick. I am guessing they mean seatbelt buckle.

I noticed that also. I have a 23 XL and have been dealing with that seat buckle problem since new. It takes several attempts to get it to latch. I thought I was the only one because I never read of anyone else complaining about it.

Thanks. Mine has been ok, so far.
Tim Bartz was talking about recalls last night on his live show. He mentioned the Campaign #24N08. He says it's about a "broken buckle sensor wire". Might get a airbag warning light on the dash. I think the fix is replacing the seatbelt. Should be receiving a notice in the mail by late March. Customers have 15 years or 250,000 miles to get it done. It seems unrelated to the seatbelt buckling issues I'm having.

Mine has been OK too. Whenever the dealer touches anything, it often causes new problems. So I probably won't get this done unless Ford has some other explanation why the buckle replacement is needed.

My drivers side won’t lock when fully pulled. I would think that this might fix it.

I had this campaign 24N08 done today via mobile tech. The mobile tech checks for an airbag code. If you have that code, your seatbelt buckle has a broken wire and must be replaced. If you do not have that code, the seatbelt buckle is fine and will not be replaced. I have never seen the airbag light on, so I did not have the code and my seatbelt buckle will not be replaced.

Thanks for the update. I'm less concerned about my Maverick now. I have not seen any airbag lights.

Replacing the buckle is a big project if that needs to be done. The seat needs to be removed in order to get to the bolt that attaches the buckle to the seat frame. There is a lot of room for the dealer to mess up your Mav if they actually have to replace the buckle. So glad mine passed the test and does not need the buckle replaced.
