Window Grease Streak - Driver's Side Exterior

I noticed when I roll up the driver's side window there is grease streak along the exterior window. I wipe it off, roll down window... then when I roll it up a new grease streak appears. My guess is that the window motor gear was excessively greased ?

Has the grease diminished over time for you ? Do you think it's just a bunch of excess grease ?

Mine has decreased but is still there - it now shows up as individual horizontal lines going down the window

No grease on any of my main windows that I've noticed, but my rear window is greasy. Dealer warned me about it and said it would take several rounds of cleaning over time until it stopped
