Seat belt buckle recall

Yep. The CSP states that even though you may get the airbag light, the seat belt will still buckle and the seat belt tensioner and airbag will still operate. You will also get a question mark instead of green checkmark when the seat belt is engaged.

That is exactly what I had when mine went bad.

I have the seatbelt fault now, the dash error says rear seat belt but Ford app says driver belt. Adaptive Cruise Control wont work for me now. Off to the dealer I go!

Mine did break about a year ago. I was just wondering if the replacement has the same issue.

If they had newer parts back then to address what they realized was an issue - you would have gotten it.
And there would have been a campaign back then.

Since campaign is much later, yours was probably one of the examples that helped them realize there was an issue. And your replacement at the time would have had it too.
