I must have been living under a rock these last few years but until a month ago I never heard of the Maverick PU. Sure I heard of the Maverick car of the 70s but not this. I've been driving a Ram1500 Laramie Crew Cab w/6'4" bed for the past ten years. Since I no longer really needed something so large that averaged around 12 mph (99% local driving) I started looking for something with good fuel economy. Searching for options I came across the hybrid Maverick and it was love lol. This does everything I need in a very efficient and practical way. 3 weeks later I bought a 2025 XLT hybrid w/co-pilot, lux package in Ruby Red metallic. My RAM drove like the Mercedes Ml suv I traded in for it and still did 10 years later. The Maverick doesn't drive quite as smoothly but I have no complaints with how it drives. So happy I found it and the board.
Now they are all over the place compared to '23 when I got my first one. I ordered in '21 after reading an article in Motor Trend and then an internet search. Took 17 months after ordering and I got canceled and converted to a '23. I've never seen an ad for a Maverick, guess they don't need to.

OP be like
Can't speak for the OP, but I worked from my rural home for years before retiring and I live an almost completely ad/commercial-free life. The only ads/commercials I tend to see are when I'm at some location I don't control the media devices. (Almost never)

You have no idea how awesome life is without ads/commercials until you eliminate them...

Impossible !
I can’t go out without seeing Maverick trucks all around me.
Pull up to a light, fifty cars there.
Five Mavericks,
Ten miles on the highway, two going the other way,
I street light raced a Mavbrid back in October. My Ecoboost easily pulled away.
:D
Took my 2004 escape in for an oil change.
I was behind a Mav and they had eleven on the lot last week.
It's easy to see Mavericks when you have one. I could have easily overlooked the Maverick if I wasn't working at a Ford dealership. I seldom saw them in the wild because I wasn't paying attention. I only noticed those that came in for service or were used by the local O'Reilly's as their parts delivery vehicle. They easily blend in unlike the Santa Cruz which grabs the attention. But blending in is a good thing for those who simply want a pickup truck that works. Once I bought my Maverick, I began to see them everywhere. I still get inquiries when I go places with people saying they love my truck and asking what is it. Many have never noticed one before. Or maybe the women are simply trying to strike a conversation with the nice looking older Nubian prince. On second thought, that's probably the reason. It has nothing to do with the truck. 😂😂😂

Yes, I do. Same goes for bullshit news used for entertainment just to get you to stare at commercials.

I chose to do life as in go outside and get some.
I’ll be damned if I’m gonna sit in front of that idiot box and get brainwashed.
We ALL already saw where that takes us.

Don't feel bad, until mid last year I had no idea either.
I saw one on the interstate and thought - Just what I've been looking for... then they started showing up all over the place.

Up until a few months ago I never saw one in an add either, but that was after I bought mine in November.

Welcome to the forum and the less frequent need to visit a gas station!

Once you get used to driving the hybrid (I suggest you enable the hybrid coach) you will really notice a difference in how much travel you get on electric by letting the car regenerate instead of using brake pads. The coach gives you a rating on each stop, and I get 100% charge back on most stops.

Enjoy the ride.

For me it was a stroke of luck and I'm so grateful for it! 👍

We should be hitting a half million sold late spring or early summer. At the end of 2025, we were up to 455,000 sold, increasing at 15,000 a month.
Ford should send us all something when they hit that milestone.

There were about 91 million vehicles purchased in 2025. I bet 90 million of those buyers never heard of the Maverick pickup.
I keep forgetting how few car guys are left. We are a dying breed I guess.
Long before forums, before the internet we were on top of things.

A new model shows up, word gets out fast. That dealer would be busy with
Lookers,
Add’s in News papers,
Magazines, on the radio.

We didn’t miss a single new car model,
Ever .

One grandfather had one. An indoor player.
I still have one that I removed from a 1963 Buick Riviera that I sold about 5 years ago. Maybe some day I'll install it in my 1956 Thunderbird! I also remember they had 4 track players before the 8 tracks came out.

Wow! most of us waited at least 8 months to get an early ordered Maverick, you got one in 4 months.
