Hows Mom liking the Maverick Tremor since You posted the Thread about it?
She loves it.. excited about having the truck bed so she can haul a few bails of hay..
Easy to get my dad in and out of it.
Gets around the property pretty easily.
Gets the same gas mileage she was getting with her escape so no change there, besides much newer, more comfortable, and better utility… it checks all the important boxes..
looking for a bed cover for her.. likely be a revolver hard roll up.. I’ll post a pic once whatever she chooses and I install it..

I’m slowly starting to see more in the wild, I feel like even the past few months it has really picked up.

Maybe I am just noticing more now that I have one lol

I agree with your theory. In 1965 I bought a new VW Beetle ($1800). After that, it seemed like every 100 cars I saw was a Beetle. Up until then I may have seen 5 in a year.

My father used to call it "big bingo".

In the late 70s, there were so many on the road that finding three in a row in traffic or stoplights just wasn't rare. (actually, we often had three in a row at the curb--his, mine, and my brother's!).

[ok, ok, it should be "bug-tac-toe", but . . . ]

It's not your imagination. I ordered my first Maverick in '21 and finally received it in '23. I saw very, very few Mavericks and, on those rare occasions I'd say "hi" and we'd talk. Share our experiences with ordering. I still have coffee with one of the guys every week. I see a lot more now and it's no big deal.

Back in the day when I got my first Maverick that I waited 8 months, everybody made fun of me because being in the industry for 40/50 years [ can't remember am old] I always told family and friends never buy first year model am glad I was Wrong I loved that truck don't drive much anymore 5/7k a year, That 22 FX4 LUX with all the options was great, had some radio problems that's it! getting back to my point, I could drive for weeks and not see another Maverick, people would stop me at lights and ask what is it who makes it, is it a custom truck, I would say do these people live in caves they don't read or watch TV, even the sales people knew nothing about it.
In 25 I sold that truck and got a 25 Lariat hybrid black package 4ktow with a sunroof and features that only that come in 60/70k cars/trucks a no brainer, and they laughed again and said you paid 43k sticker it was 39,500 employe pricing, for a 20k truck, than when they compare the features to their 50/60k cars or trucks they don't have half of them. The average new car price is 50/k. BTW I see at least 3/4 mavericks a day now and I don't drive much why because they sold 150k this year.
yep - i jumped on the '22, only found out about it 2 weeks before the ordering window was going to close, never test drove one - only found ONE on a lot to even look at, when I saw it I was like 'this thing is bigger than I thought it would be' - plunked down my deposit totally unconcerned about year 1 model, waited a year and got it out the door (with some miraculous 500 local rebate) for under 22K and with a 3 percent loan from my credit union. No probs over 3 years, what a great deal
