I was lucky to have 22 Mav XLT hybrid and upgraded to 24 Mav Lariat. I've been enjoying everything about this truck. I have few items that I am trying to address.

Issue #1 - I am not a big fan of the speaker placement for rear seat passengers. Most of my passengers are 5-8" and the speakers scream into their ears. The only way I can minimize this is by using audio balancing to forward. Is there any other more permanent solution to this?

Issue #2 - The plastic piece above the door sills on 22 Mav got scratched up a lot previously. I want to be proactive and prevent it from happening on my new car. Are there any after market parts available for preventing scratches. Highlighted the area I am trying to prevent scratches from (Not my pic - sourced from internet)

Issue #3- I had weathertech trifold bed cover on my 22 Mav, that was installed by Weathertech. I kept the bed cover when I sold my 22 Mav and installed it on 24 Mav. I am noticing that water leaks from edges into the bed. This was not an issue previously. I followed instructions from Weathertech while installing the Bed cover on 24 mav. Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent this?

Issue #4 - I miss having auto dimming mirrors and homelink options. Are there any DIY solutions for this?

Scratches are going to happen, you really can't avoid it. You could try PPF on there but the adhesive will stick and likely ruin the plastic it adhered to.

Could also try Cerakote wipes but that does little to nothing for scratching and scuff protection.

Did you re-use the weather stripping from the first tri-fold install? Nothing has changed with the shape of the bed so I would suggest loosening it, getting new weather stripping, and paying close attention to the areas where the plastic bed rails connect to one another.

You can add an auto-dimming mirror with HomeLink by purchasing any universal homelink/auto dimming mirror and tapping the 12v connection for the forward facing camera and map lights.

My daughter said she loves the speaker location, its like having headphones. Many times she will sit in the middle seat to get the full effect :)

Suggestion on #3 - call or message WeatherTech for their suggestions? They're an awesomely responsible company that cares about their products and customers (in my experience). If you're not happy with their product, I guarantee you they want to know. And maybe future customers can benefit from an improved product?

@Shreddy027 , Regarding your Issue #3: I purchased the WeatherTech "Alloy" Tri-fold cover for my Maverick, a week before the truck actually was delivered to me. Shortly after installation, despite the gasketing, water got into the truck bed. I called WeatherTech and they did two things: first, they said the cover is not "waterproof" but merely water resistant. Hmm... Second thing is they said they have a fix, and send me some kind of weird gasket that clearly is not for this product, had no obvious means of utilization, and came with no instructions. So I went to Plan B.

Plan B was ordering this material from Amazon: https://a.co/d/0eDxrB2 I installed this all around the truck edges, the same edges where the WeatherTech gasket sits. So now I was double gasketed: the gasket on the actual tri-fold cover, and then this new product on the truck. This new gasket is completely invisible with the cover closed.

This solved 90% of my water infiltration problem, and limited the water infiltration to the front of the cover near the cab. I suspect that I may re-do this with either 3/16" or ¼" thick foam gasket instead of the ⅛" material that I bought. The product is pretty cheap and worth experimenting with.

The photo you show with the Maverick sill protector I ordered the same one, White. For the plastic I'd spray an Armor All type product on there regularly.

Two options. Anti-skid tape, it can be found on Amazon or look up rubber skateboard grip tape. 👍

For plastic protection, I used PPF. It stays in place and does not leave adhesive residue. I applied on all areas that tend to scuff and scratch, including bottom of door panels.
