I'm trying to tap into accessory power and am having trouble reading the manuals to tell which fuses are okay to tap into. The owners manual says fuse 1 and 2 are completely unused:

But my service manual says fuse 1 is used:

How do I make sense of this? Is it still okay to tap into this circuit if one of the outputs is used?

Fuse 1 was used for something added after the owners manual was printed. F2 may also be the same and not logged in service manual or possibly a spare fuse and no wires are ran to it possibly not even the hot side.

So they don't update the online manual?

Is it okay to tap into a micro3 fuse if one of the load pins is being used? I added an add-a-circuit system which I assume just keeps the old system as is with the old fuse and connects the load pin to the new system. Would it matter at all if any of the pins are used in this case?

I'm using a Micro-3 tap, oriented as shown, with no problems.

Yep that is pretty much my exact setup! Although I believe wiring can change between models and model years, so I'm curious to know if there are any consequences for my particular setup. Not sure if any of the load pins are used for that fuse on your truck.
