Navigation Sync update

I am having trouble with the latest navigation download. I ordered the digital download and have downloaded it 3 times (about an hr each time) It is coming in clean over 12GB. My problem is once I move it to jump drive and try to add the license key is says folder file corrupted and it won't let me drop license key on the drive with the navigation file. Anyone have thoughts on this.. I have used different jump drives so it's not hardware related

Are you following the instructions exactly? from my experience if it’s even slightly off any sync 3 based update won’t work. How are you extracting the files?

Just guessing.. copy protection.. try downloading directly to thumb drive.. (?). And/Or find a better wifi or Internet connection packets most likely arriving corrupted or missing.
Maybe license key will only unlock the drive the nav file was downloaded to????

Yes following directions I used win zip to extract the files and added license key to syncmyride folder. Once I got it on the jump drive it didn't launch in the vehicle

Maybe in NJ if you can stand in middle and see ALL 4 CORNERS it's not needed!

I ordered the usb drive from Ford completed install in about 40 minutes with no issue. Didn’t try to do this over Wi-Fi or download to usb drive so I don’t have info about it. Also was to your local Ford dealer could do it for you when in for service.

2023 on in Lariats. Not on a 2022 anything. Made my cancelled 2022 easier to swallow, when I got NAV on the rolled over 2023.

Does the USB need to be formatted in a special format?

Win-zip is the devil and may be your issue. Uninstall that and use the windows option to extract the files to your USB. I could be wrong, but that's my guess. Every computer I come across at work that is using Win-zip usually has problems.

I dont think it does, not even fully optioned lariat. Just carplay and AA.

My first edition 2022 we use wife's cell phone to cast data to trucks screen. Don't need to update files, just activate links to maps.

Did the down load a couple weeks ago Downloaded to computer, formatted a 64gb usb drive to exfat , labeled volume as sync my ride. Right clicked on the sync file, opened with File explorer copied the files to the usb drive took about 45 minutes to install as we were on a driving trip for an hour

Has to be connected with good quality data cable. Bluetooth cannot keep up and has to reconnect.
