Discount Tire is telling me that they can't do an alignment on my Maverick because "all Mavericks have lane departure system" my 22 xlt does not have lane departure.
Update: apparently the collison camera needs to be re calibrated with an alignment as well.....
Update 2: checked with the...
Talking with a tech yesterday. Newer Ford's have a rear brake bias especially in low speed light braking applications. Hybrid or ecoboost a lot of us can expect the rears to wear quicker.
There are plenty out there, they are popular with UBER and Lyft drivers. I personally don't have any experience with that style so I can't recomend a good one.
I have seen people load longer items like this. Personally I either use roof rack bed externder or trailer for longer items.
Most of the trucks I see people strap stuff like this are old beater trucks and not new trucks. In my opinion people who strap stuff in this method are unlikely purchase...
Mine randomly does it too and I have not figured out why.
One of my theories is, getting out of the truck "too fast" maybe opening the door right as I kill ignition or opening the door before I unbuckle my seatbelt maybe. Or just some random electrical glitch but I hate it.
Mine is an xlt so...
I left it with them a few days. Picked up and I have sent my service writer some videos since I got the truck. Attached is from my text conversation, thet have not replied to my emails. But acknowledged they got them in text.
I guess I shall move onto dealer #3. The first and most convenient turned me away when my window switch failed and a passenger window was stuck down. Telling me ot would be a month before they could get me in(didn't even offer to wrap the window). They got greasey fingerprints all over my...
This morning I started my drive in tow/haul instead of normal. It did not slip in tow/haul but when I switched back to normal it did.
Tow haul is more likely to go through each gear whereas normal will skip for gears for efficiency, maybe my TCM is having trouble deciding if it should skip?
2022 xlt fx4 4k tow 32,XXX miles
For the last 1000 miles or so my transmission has started slipping occasionally. It only happens shortly after a cold start(like in the morning or after all day at work)
I took it to the dealer but they only got the truck to slip once and could not diagnose it...
It looks like a lot of the shine is gone(especially in the "large spoke void" except in the inside corners). My guesses is either the soap is too acidic and maybe wasnt rinsed off thoroughly (it seems concentrated on one part of the wheel or possibly a brake fluid leak.
What soap are you using?
My roof rack causes a whistle.
What I have seen in other vehicles is the door getting slightly bent. Usually by someone who has mobility issues and grabs the top edge of the door frame for support when getting in or out.
Actual experts would not recomend that. You end up focusing all that force in the middle of the pin which will cause it to bend leaving it stuck in the vehicle rendering the hitch useless. Get a hitch mounted shackle instead.
These may not be the correct numbers but 4000lbs in the middle of the...
To my knowledge a disconnected sway bar would only benifit slow speed off roading. It will allow your suspension to flex more making you less likely to lift a wheel. On the road you will just make it handle worse and be more dangerous. Off roading is why higher end jeeps and Broncos have sway...
Here is an example of what I am experiencing '22 xlt fx4 4k. So far the dealer has been unable to replicate.... in this video I made sure to keep the throttle pedal in exactly the same position while accelerating.
