Going over all of my roller coaster rides of the past year with owning multiple Ford Mavericks. I have spent well over $100,000 on Ford mavericks in the span of about eight months. I’ve learned a lot about these trucks, and have a far greater appreciation for them now than when I first started.

They’ve gotten more expensive for sure. Ford wanted to get in on that profit the dealerships were scamming people out of.

So you purchased (3) trucks and sold (2) at a profit to retain one, and that's the "$100k" you spent?

Sheesh,I spent 29 grand (paid under sticker) for a brand new 4wd hemi ram 14 years ago.one truck....14 years, hoping to get another 6 years out of it. Also paid sticker for my 23 ecoboost, hoping to get at least 15 years out of it also. Sry for your bad experience!

I paid $800 over sticker on the last one but it still much cheaper than what the 2024 will cost with the price increases and there was no waiting.

MSRP is creeping up on most new cars.
And the value on all of them is getting worse, it's not like manufactures are actually giving people more for their money. Just like the Maverick they strip more and more away from all but the top trims.

I bought 4 and sold 3. 1 at a profit to a dealer and the others went to fan of my channel $250 profit, and my sister in-law at like a $600 loss.

I just took the introduction list price and multiplied it by the government inflation rates of the past few years and the current list price is $100 less than it should be. By those numbers the base XL for 2024 costs less than the 2022. I'm not sure if upgrades follows this price/ inflation metric. Also, considering it's my understanding the 2023 and 2024 XL come with cruise that the 2022 didn't have and you have an outright bargain compared to 2022.
