After seven months and multiple rescheduled build dates, I finally have my truck! This truck is my favorite vehicle to date!

I call it my baby F-150, when driving I feel like I’m in an F-150. The hood is wide and shaped similar to an F-150. I love it!!!!

I order the Alto Blue Metallic Eco-Boost XLT, With The 4k Tow Package, Luxury Package, Ford Co-Pilot360, Moon Roof, Rear Sliding Window, Full Size Spare Tire, All Weather Mats, and Splash Guards.

I’m averaging between 18-22 city miles per gallon. I haven’t calculated highway miles as of yet. I currently have 200 miles on my truck.

I don’t think two days shy of eight months was quick at all. I will also tell you that I’m a Ford Plant Employee, Ford does not show favoritism! The build process does not work that way! How long have you been waiting for your truck?

Thanks for the info!
It's either favoritism (possibly to a dealership or region), random, or complete ineptness.

I ordered my Hybrid XLT with dibl, weathertech floor mats, and Inverter on 6/23/21, and DOZENS who ordered after me have gotten an XLT Hybrid with those (and often more) options MONTHS before I'm projected to get mine. I saw one Ford employee ordered his in October and got it in January. That's messed up.

It clearly was not a "First ordered, first built" process. Wouldn't you agree? If it's not favoritism to a dealership or region or employee, randomness, or complete ineptness, what is it? I'm not trying to be a jerk; I'm asking genuinely.

Hey Ford, can you please explain how this truck was built and delivered before my build is even scheduled. All the same except I didn’t order color, moonroof and dropped my splash guards?

I thought about changing the color many times, I’m so glad I didn’t! It turned out to be worth the money for me.
Congrats on getting your truck of dreams! The Alto Blue looks awesome on the Maverick. I have the same. Since I didn't build mine, I took what I could get when my previous truck caught fire and was destroyed. I think Ford chose their colors very well ... they all look great.

I noticed Ford did not answer. They made a happy statement to Vivian but so far are ignoring you.

Here is Ford's promise to everyone in their Oct 21 email that gave hybrid order holders the free FITS items: "Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated." Not answering you violates their promise to keep you updated.

Here is CEO Jim Farley's email. He will probably not uphold their promise either but this allows you to tell him directly what you think about how his company treats their customers: [email protected]

It is wrong for Ford to allow others who ordered after you (with the same or more complicated build) to cut the line in front of you, over and over again.

We should all hold Farley accountable for his company's official statements by emailing him our feelings.

Baby it through the 1000 mile break in period then get your first oil change. Recommend you change the oil every 4K miles. A full synthetic oil would be best.

Have to comment on that comment: It's waste of money to change Full Synthetic oil at 4K miles. This is based on my experience in diligently using oil sample testing from Blackstone labs.

Example: I used to have an F150 with the 3.5EB motor. Ran the oil to 8K miles and sent in a sample. Blackstone came back and basically said, "Oil looks good. You can go farther on that synthetic oil." I chose to stick with the 8K OCI, just to be hyper conservative.

So, my suggestion would be: full synthetic, change oil at 8-9K miles.

I'm old school, conventional oil at 3000 miles, synthetic at 5000 miles. I've been doing this since I started driving since oil and filters are still relatively inexpensive plus the fact that now I am only driving 6-7k a year now. Can you go 8000 miles with full synthetic? sure, but I feel comfortable at 5000 miles. As Scotty Kilmer says "oil is cheap, engines are expensive" :) I do tranny drain and fill every 30,000 miles, antifreeze every 3-4 years. Brake fluid every 3-4 years. Again, fluids are relatively inexpensive and I am able to DIY.

Anyone can do what they want. With the semi synthetic motorcraft oil used by the dealer I would do 4k oil changes, full synthetic maybe 5K tops. Engines by design get blow by past the compression ring son the piston into the oil. Turbo engines more so because of the forced induction pressure from the turbo and made more pronounced if you have a heavy foot on the gas pedal. It always amazes me when I'm on forums and I read comments of one forum member to others ...." what is the best deal on oil" or "what is the cheapest oil I can get", etc. etc. Besides a home or a college education, your car is probably one of the most expensive investments you have. Some of the same people that think nothing about spending $800 on an I-phone will try to save a few bucks on an oil change.

>>>>> And here is one of the most important things that a lot of car owners no longer do: Check the oil level BETWEEN oil changes. Many car owners now do not check the oil level between oil changes. They just take it to the dealer or oil change place at the specified time. BIG MISTAKE. Especially now with longer oil change intervals. Even some new engines have been known to consume a qt of oil between oil changes. I check my oil level 2-3 times per month. One time I happened to check my oil level on a Focus I had shortly after I got the oil changed at the dealer, and the level was way down more than it should have been for the time interval. Took it to the dealer and it turned out that they had over tightened the oil filter during the oil change causing the gasket on the filter to deform and leak. Luckily I checked it when I did or I would have probably lost a couple of quarts or more of oil before the next oil change.
