My Maverick Tailgate Letters, Tailgate Assist, All-Weather Mats have arrived

Good Afternoon,
My truck is scheduled for delivery at the dealer on Oct 22 (Lariat Lux, FX4, 4K, EB), but some of the accessories I ordered have already arrived. I thought I'd share some pictures with everyone.

The mats are a real nice heavy duty rubber and the logo is double shot into the mat (injected as a separate color) so it should hold up very well.

The tailgate letters appear to be laser/waterjet cut from metal and have a very reflective black finish, the instruction sheet says they are made by PUTCO.

The tailgate assist is made by DeeZee and is sealed in the package, I don't plan to open that until I'm ready to install it.

Looks good. Would love if anyone at Ford Accessories or the dealer I selected for pickup had any clue about the online order I placed back on 9/15 for these same parts that has never shipped..........

Although I would recommend using the part numbers from the online catalog and ordering directly through your local dealer. Myself and at least a few others placed orders online that have never shipped and nobody at Ford or dealer has been of help.

Yes, they have 3M adhesive already applied and ready to peel off.

I really want these accessories, but financially I know I should wait to buy them with the $240 FordPass points. I’ve heard it takes a few weeks to a month after purchase.

Yep. And they do come with 3M #4298 Adhesive Promoter, not just an alcohol pad. So even in hot sun, they should bond well. My advice to anyone: claybar the letter indentions first, then alcohol prep them promoter prep before installing. You get a serious bond that way. (I do a lot with VHB adhesives. The hood protectors and door sill plates mount the same way). I also got the tailgate assist, the sunscreen, letters, sill plates, sunscreen, and front splash guards.

I would advise people to shop around local dealerships. I order from one that does 10% off MSRP for online orders that's closer to work than the one I am buying my Maverick from.

It should be $210 (42,000 points X 1/2 cent per point). When I got my Escape, I had the points in about a week. The FordPass Visa points I only get at the end of a billing cycle once a month.
