Well, after half a year of patiently waiting, my 2022 Ford Maverick Lariat just arrived at my local Ford dealership this morning. It was ordered in mid-September 2021 and arrived on March 16, 2022. It's a fully-loaded Lariat with the FordCoPilot360 package and Lariat Luxury package. It also features the optional 2.0L Ecoboost 4-cylinder with AWD. I am very thankful to have gotten this far considering that many others on this forum have not had the opportunity to retrieve their Mavericks with many not scheduled, built, or delayed into the next model year. So I fully realize the half-year wait is pretty generous considering the circumstances right now so I am very grateful. I am not rubbing it in by any means, I just wanted to show my appreciation.
Of course, I had to get the Area 51 color which is the best in my opinion. I absolutely love this color on the Bronco and Bronco Sport so it was a no-brainer to get it on the Maverick. Plus, this was this truck's debut color so that's another reason for choosing it. It looks so good in the sunlight and is just the right amount of boldness mixed in with subtlety. The interior is gorgeous with all the Navy Pier blue door panels, dash, center console and seats with the Desert Brown contrast trim and silver recycled material on the door panels and upper dash. I haven't driven one yet so this will be the very first time I purchase a vehicle without test-driving it. I've just been going according to the online articles. I am scheduled to pick it up this Friday which will give the dealer time to do a P.D.I., detail, and complimentary tank of gas. A more in-depth review will be coming out once I get more acquainted with it. I am beyond ecstatic! Hope you enjoy the pics!
