I keep seeing this Forscan stuff, and as an IT geek I'm very curious. But what's the warranty impact of using it?
They won’t know you ever used it if you simply put values back to normal

if something was impacted by the change ie you brick the radio etc that would be voided if you couldn’t get it flashed back to normal I reckon, blame is on that issue to that part

The wife and I both like the heated seats and steering wheel in our 2023 buggy. They work really well and are @ temp before we even get out of our subdivision. One thing that would have been nice is the push button start, but couldn't justify the bump up in $$ to the Lariat. The FOB key is spring loaded and wonder if it's just a matter of time before that spring get's sprung. Don't most vehicles have push button start as standard equip now ? C'mon Ford.
I had a push to start ignition and my alternator went on me; I couldn’t turn my car off or put it in park without unhooking the battery. I chose to never get a push start after that 🤷🏻‍♂️

Appreciate the writeup. We traded in our MY22 Mav hybrid for the MY25, which has been delivered to our dealer. Can't pick it up until March due to travel but looking forward to it, eventually.

Just got my Oxford White 2025 Maverick XLT with the luxury package, a drop in bed liner, a smoke hood deflector. a keyless entry pad, and rubber floor mats. So far, I absolutely love it. Here are the pros & cons I've seen after having it for 48 hours.

Pros:
1) The screen is much better!!! It's bigger & clearer.
2) It has Synch4 and wireless Apple Carplay.
3) Seems to have more power when I press the gas.
4) It's white, not school bus yellow/orange. To be fair, I didn't hate school bus yellow/orange, (I actually liked it at first) but I wanted the color Cyber Orange was on the website and didn't get it. After a while the yellow/orange became less desirable.
5) Push button start is REALLY nice! It's not worth $10,000 or anything like that, but it's VERY easy to get used to.
6) The heated steering wheel is worth the $1k I paid for the luxury package. I have poor circulation in my hands, and this helps.
7) When I change the mode to "Slippery", the next time I got in the truck it asked if I wanted to go back into slippery mode.
8) 3 more years/36,000 miles of warranty.
9) As someone else pointed out, things really do feel sturdier.
10) The rotary dial is more firm, and changing from one gear to the next (ie reverse to neutral) is more defined.
(Edited/Added)
11) I forgot to mention, the sound system sounds better which is a huge plus!!

Cons:
1) I liked the information screen (where the speedometer is) much better on my '22.
2) They changed the quad view that used to have (top left) trip mpg, (top right) trip miles, (bottom right) miles to empty, (bottom left) real-time mpg & for this to turn blue when in electric/charge mode to have other things that aren't nearly as helpful.
3) There's not a way to easily see if I'm running in electric/charge/gas mode AND to know my real-time mpg at the same time. You can see if you're in electric/charging/gas mode by looking at the far left gage, but it's not easy. To make it easy there's an information "card" & a real-time mpg "card" you can add to the information screen, but then you can't see both at the same time. You have to toggle. I loved the old quad view. (If I'm missing something, someone please show me how I can get the old quad view...or something similar).
4) No physical buttons for the temperature controls.
5) Cost me more money.

Does the prompt that you received to stay in slippery mode on next startup happen for every last used mode? Sport mode? It was disappointing in my '22 to have to reselect different modes after every restart.

Hey, is there a button to make the radio screen black like the 2022?

Thoughts

Friday I picked up my 25 Lariat Hybrid traded in my 22 Lariat Ecoboost. First thing was removing my accessories and adding to 25 (Truxedo Sentry CT, Stubby antenna, internal accessories). Now it’s time to add some new accessories (Husky Floor Liner, SportWing (Dawn Ent) side molding decided this route compared to Ford Rocker Panels. Will post more pics once the Mav is ceramic coated next week. Thoughts so far.

Pros

Large screen is awesome (touchscreen is very responsive

Sync4 is awesome with CarPlay (no need for a Carlink and using up a port permanently)

Drives smooth, and handling is improved

Agreed rotary dial is more defined

Cons

Miss physical buttons (tune, temp, and dual buttons

Hybrid of course lose that power of ecoboost I was able to surprise people often with the power of my truck. Will try out sports mode post break in and see if there is any difference.

Overall really impressed and excited for improved MPG. When wife saw she said it looks bigger and longer I said No. But with 19” wheels the truck is higher up especially when stepping into bed from ground and from the back. I actually like the higher look, still can reach over to drop things inside with no problem.

So far it asks everytime do you want to continue in previous mode. But seatbelt screen sometimes is in the way and you miss it. But switching is really easy now, using steering wheel going left or right so you can can get to modes quicker.

Not gonna lie, I totally expected “It’s White and not a fun color” to be a con but that’s just my personal bias showing as I love fun and unique colors, even if they are school bus yellow. Totally understand your disappointment in it not matching your expectations from the original website though!

Glad you are otherwise loving the update though! I have a ‘22 Lariat and a lot of the “luxury” features are absolutely awesome. I am a bit jealous of the Wireless CarPlay and suggested previous modes! Happy driving!

I thought I saw somewhere that you could get that quad screen to show up on the larger 13-inch screen.
Here it is. I think the default infotainment screen has a box on the right that has the radio station or something like that. You can swipe up or down on that box, and there are 3 other options...one is the quad screen. I'm not sure what the value of that is, unless your passengers want to see it too. Not sure what the other 2 are.

Is there a dark theme? Or black? I hate white backgriunds. I even paid money on iPhone and MacBook for apps to darken everything out

Thanks. For what it's worth, I had an adapter for Sync3 that allowed me to do wireless Carplay. It took about 30 seconds to start up, but that's about the time it took me to back out of my garage and get down my driveway.

It was only $30. If you want to try it, I'll look up the brand I bought in Amazon. It wasn't as good as Sync4, but it was better than plugging in every time. :)

I believe so. I think you can set it to be light or dark based on time of day or you can set it to permanent light or permanent dark. I think it's in the display setting.
