I just decided to see what Carvana would offer for my truck.

I have the Hybrid XL
360
Ford Roll Up Tonneau Cover
Added Ford Bronco Wheels,
Mud Flaps
Rubber Bed Liner
Tailgate Assist
Extended 8 year 100,000 miles Warranty

With the add ons and extended warranty, I probably would break even.

There is no way I will be selling my truck. I was just curious. This is one great truck for the value. It runs well, gets great mileage, comfortable, the style is great, and fits my needs.

I got* $29,996 for the same thing without the tonneau, warranty, bed mat, or mud flaps from Carvana. Hybrid XL I put 1k miles. I do have moonroof and rear sliding window.

Vroom and driveway only offered me $23k.

*Edit: offered, not accepted. It would take at least 40k for me to give this thing up right now.

I wonder if you put the same offer in another day, would the price change? I think not. They have the price quoted to you in their system.

I did it a few weeks ago before I even received mine and they were only offering 26k.

Try again in a couple weeks. I wonder if they offer a little extra to people with in demand vehicles that walked from an initial offer. They say the offers are solid for 7 days.

Try KBB. Sends it to local dealers. Just sold my off lease vehicle and made $5k. Dealer beat Carvana by $500

My Carvana offer has gone up $1,751 when I refreshed the offer I had on 4/13.

Current 05/06/22 Carvana offer of $32,974 on my 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid w/CP360, Drop-in Bedliner, Sliding Rear Window driven 1286 miles in excellent condition.

Old 04/13/22 Carvana offer: $31,196 - 1100 miles

My total out-the-door purchase price was $26,068 so Carvana's offer is $6,906 over my total purchase price. MSRP of my Maverick is $24,620

They or any other dealer don’t care if you have Bronco Sport wheels or the tailgate assist. Most time aftermarket add ons reduce the trade in price.

I really think selling my truck is on the table. That is if I get it before 23 models. Why drive a year old model that I could potentially make a decent profit on? I know the issue of waiting again and maybe being confronted with the same choice next year. I guess I might end up with a 2025. Ford made me wait so now I’m numb and just don’t care. The cool factor of driving a truck that no one has is gone.

If you are serious about selling, don’t go to a wholesaler like Carvana and give them your equity for free. They are just going to flip it for few thousand more. Sell PP on Autotrader and CraigsList.

It's easy. Do the transfer with your buyer during business hours. Walk into the bank together, show the cashier's check to the mgr (they can spot fakes) and deposit. Then you both drive to the local Auto Club where they will show you where to sign the title and make sure registration is changed on the spot. Done.

You would not sell your house below market value don't do that with your car. See wholesale and retail car values on www.nada.com
