muffler?

Has anyone replaced the muffler on their Mav for a "more pleasing sound"?
I'm not talking about a cat-back system, just the muffler.
I'm thinking of taking it to a shop that I have used in the past. I want to also have a splitter exhaust tip like the '64 Pontiac GTO. I had a similar setup installed on my '64 Skylark. I know it is old school but I like the look.

I like the tip style for sure and they do sell dual outlet mufflers that you can accomplish this look.

I'll just say in general the 2.0 Ecoboost doesn't have a great engine sound and the exhaust can sound a little trumpety/trombone when not done properly.

Put a dual split exhaust tip on that just exits at rear, slip-on, angle cut chrome with rolled edges. $7 on Temu

On the dual tips, i seem to recall several previous post related to them. Maybe like the ones "Chops" has - see post #13 on link below????

That actually doesn't sound half bad.

A lot of the mufflers and exhaust systems are droney and some like a trombone.
