Does anyone know how many MPH the equivalent Ford Escape Hybrid gets too before the gas engine kicks in? I'm guessing somewhere between 25mph and 45mph.

It depends on throttle demand and incline, really. My Fusion still switches over to electric for stretches at 65 mph on the interstate here. The electric motor of the HF35/45 can run all the way up to 82mph. The Maverick's HF45+ might be able to run faster with its more compact rotor design as that was listed as one of its benefits unless the limitation is synchronization of the three-phase switching. Of course the other constraint is how fast ~98hp of electric motor can push a truck through the air.

Way too many variables for just one number. A hybrid blends EV and mechanical power according to software control laws not just some speedometer number. However, there are mechanical operating limits for the EV motors (think tachometer redline) so overall gearing determines what speed they drop out and only the ICE powers the drivetrain. (see above)
