Mountain bikes in bed with hard tri fold tonneau cover and tailgate pad

Been using the T2 RaceFace Tailgate pad (midsize truck pad) for our XL and medium frame mountain bikes with 29” tires. The
pad fits perfectly and it’s so quick & easy to throw the bikes in and get going. After the bikes are in I just use 1 ratchet strap connected to the 2 rear tie down points in the bed.

Also using the ford hard trifold tonneau cover and it works & fits perfect for my needs.

Next, I will be adding a strip of PPF along the bottom of the tailgate to prevent any scratches from the 4 straps that wrap underneath the tailgate.

Can also see the rear view camera and open the tailgate through the opening in the tailgate pad.

Thanks for posting. I am curious, can you latch the tonneau shut with the pad on there? Without bikes obviously.

No I can’t unfortunately. The last fold of the cover doesn’t latch shut but I just close it lightly and it rests on the pad
