Posting a combo for carrying a single MTB in case it helps someone else decide on a purchase.

Raceface Half-Stack tailgate pad (doesn't block the camera)
Large frame, 29'er mountain bike
BAK x4s hard rolling tonneau cover

Still plenty of room between the rear tire and the rolled-up tonneau cover.

I could probably fit a second bike on the half-stack, but for those occasions I have a 1UP hitch mounted rack.

This is the reason I'm going soft tonneau. I really like the truxedo sentry, but I'm not giving up 5 more inches of bed space.

The X4s comes off easily enough for me by loosening four thumb screws.

indeed! I have the same Raceface pad and roll up tonneau cover. There’s definitely room for a gravel bike and a road bike with the camera unobstructed. I took them to a set of weekend rides in Sante Fe. But mountain bikes are bigger, so I’m not sure about two.
