Thinking about getting the stamping filled in with some color lettering. Anyone else doing the same or have any cool ideas they will had to mod their Mavericks?

Just saw a Ranger today with the flag filling in the tailgate letters. It looked good. Now, the question is can I get it to work with the Texas flag, or will I have to settle for a Texas Edition aftermarket emblem?

I have seen different colors/patterns for filling in the tailgate letters, I am hoping for a camo pattern (Mossy Oak or Realtree).

I have a Ranger, and used TVD Vinyl Decals as a source for my lettering, as did many other Ranger owners. I suspect that they'll have them available for the Maverick too.

I plan on making some temperature-sensitive inserts. I already have the vinyl (Red when cold, yellow when hot), and the machine to cut it with. Just need for mine to get here so I can measure and make the SVG cut file.

On my Lightning Blue Ranger I went with black lettering on the tailgate. I'll likely do the same with the Maverick.

That would be cool with the Cactus Grey.

I have red letters on my blue ranger. They stick out a little, but I like it! I do like the lettering fill-ins, I expect there will be many options available in short order.

I'm getting cactus gray FX4, and I'm thinking of jelly bean blue, and plasti-dipping the FX4 sticker over with their highlighter blue paint for a little pop. Maybe a thin vertical stripe on the grill (but just the outlines of the grill facade).

Anyone have an idea which to buy and where?

I've seen the flat cheap looking vinyl stick on and I've seen some puffy pillow type press ons. Not sure which his best as I've ALWAYs debadged my vehicles. Since it would be hard to debadge a stamped in model name, figured I'd fill it in.

Don't know which to buy and where. Screw Amazon's cheap chinese crap.

I’d rather it not even be stamped. I’m not gonna highlight it.

You may have a point there. Trying to keep them lil holes clean may be a royal pain. Then have to clean around the vinyl makes it even worse. Maybe I won't apply vinyl.

Just my personal preference. I’m a fan of debadging and chrome deletes. One of the first things Im am going to do is wrap the chrome strip on the front grill and remove all trim badges. All Ford badges will be replaced with color matched replacements. Should look good.

Corporate ride with ours, so our logo and contact info will be on it along with a donated custom dip. Personally, if it were my ride alone, I’d do the same as @Mav

Since I ordered Oxford White, I'm going to try and keep the exterior White with Black. Haven't thought about it as much as @Mav but I like his ideas.

Just saw on another thread about the Katzkin.com leather seat cover swap. Not sure how much I'm going to like the Brown/Blue with a White and Black exterior. May get the interior redone if it doesn't cost too much.

Looking to do the same thing here. You thinking of painting your own ford badges? Or do you know a place that makes nice ones?
