Yes, they are required annually in Texas as part of the auto registration process. It's termed a 'safety inspection', but with Covid, it's somewhat of a farce. All they did on my last one was to check lights, and wipers while I sat in the car. Prior to that, they did a short parking lot drive...
I have the Extang Trifecta for my Ranger, and I do get some occasional water near the corners. Certainly, nothing for me to be concerned about. I've kept luggage and other items in my bed with no worry about water damage. I also have a fatigue mat to lift it up off the bed. The one I have is...
FWIW, I have the same cover on my Ranger. I can't say that it's completely water tight, but never had any real issue with it. Very slight amount of water from the bulkhead corners.
There was a time that I used to listen to him. I feel like he did educate people, and was sometimes quite moved by the caller's personal experiences. But I lost any respect I had for him over his rallies.
I made the offer to send my daughter and her husband to one. It really hacked me off...
I had never heard of it either. Courtesy of Wikipedia...
The Ford Durango was a two-passenger coupe utility sold in limited production by Ford Motor Company between the 1979 and 1982 model years. The vehicle was the result of a joint venture between Ford and National Coach Works, located in...
I'm 70, my first car was used. Since then, except for buying a used 2000 New Beetle, all my cars, and my wife's cars have been bought new. Call it a guilty pleasure - but we kept each of them for a minimum of 5 years. The longest I kept one was my 1978 Chevy pickup - I kept that 18 years.
I'm now 70 (married 45 years), and between my wife and I, we've had about 20 vehicles. My minimum time to keep has been 5 years. But I kept my 1978 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe for 18 years.
After driving trucks and SUV's for many years, my wife decided she wanted a sedan, so she now has a 2020...
Totally unrelated... I used to work with a lady that could never get sayings correct. She was telling one of our clients that "we go through everything with a FINE TOOTH BRUSH!. We corrected her, telling her it was a "fine-toothed COMB" - to which she replied, "what is a tooth comb?"...
I have a Ranger, and used TVD Vinyl Decals as a source for my lettering, as did many other Ranger owners. I suspect that they'll have them available for the Maverick too.
Very deceptive dealer. Last year we were in the market to replace my wife's Explorer. Noticed they had what we wanted, and was advertised at a very good price. I confirmed with them that the price was not predicated on any special requirements. I also did an online trade in review with them...
I've had quite a few trucks in my life, never had a tonneau cover until I got my Ranger. I chose a softcover tri-fold, and I'm perfectly happy with it. No, it doesn't add security, but it is certainly a convenience. Light enough and easy enough to remove entirely if I need to carry something...
When the Ranger was reintroduced I saw a pre-production model at one auto show, but it was off-limits for any type of inspection. I finally got to do a 'ride and drive' at another, and placed my order after that. In Texas, shows that had early 2021 regular dates were cancelled. But it looks...
Extended warranties are a 'love it or hate it' topic. But it's generally accepted that a Ford plan is the way to go. And if you decide to do so, prices are negotiable, and don't have to be bought from the selling dealer. They can also be bought online, and Flood Ford is a good place to start...
I don't see this already posted, so if it is... :(
I received this in an email today from Ford:
The vehicle you didn’t see coming … is coming.
Introducing an exciting new addition to the Ford lineup that defies all expectations – the all‑new 2022 Ford Maverick. Built to handle urban...
