I'm kinda curious, has anyone thought about cutting down an existing hard tonneau cover to fit the Maverick? I am seeing a lot of pretty high end tonneau covers in what looks like almost new condition, made for other trucks, going really cheap ($200-$300) on places like FB market and craigslist.
I assume the covers are just made from aluminum extrusion and some kind of hard plastic or aluminum board? The OEMs must just be cutting the hard board to length for w/e truck model its for and gluing/screwing/riveting the aluminum hinges/ends on?
Seems like this could be an interesting DIY project for someone on a budget.
