This is my second Maverick order with Larson Ford in Brick/Lakewood. Which dealer did you use ?

Ordered Mav today. Requested priority to change from 19. They easily changed it to 10. Does that really make a difference? Did not have 2022 order.

Yes as you state the default at your dealership is 19 and most sales associates will leave it at the default.

On my MY22 order I requested a priority 10 when I ordered and even though there were 29 orders already ordered when mine got submitted I got selected for a build in 24 days after ordering. That happened probably because those other orders were at the default 19.

Moral is to always ask for a priority code of 10. Dealers may not give it to you because of MY22 to MY23 rollovers but if they don't then ask for an 11 which is still better than the default 19.

I had a 22 built at Holman Ford but it was the wrong trim level for me at the time (life events changed my driving needs) so I let them sell it. I ordered my 23 with Chapman Horsham because they are one of the only ones in the area not requiring a deposit. I had a few dealers near me asking for as much as $1,000 non-refundable!!!

I can see that they won’t go under MSRP, but no need for a dealer to require a refundable deposit. Any Maverick that they might end up with from a canceled order means $10,000 extra for them.

Exactly and I told them up front that I had a 2019 vehicle to trade in, they didn’t seem to care. I guess that is why their lot is still very empty…

The priority only matters at that dealer. Let's say Dealer A sets their top priority to 10 and Dealer B sets their top priority to 15. If Ford allows each dealer to build one truck this week, Dealer A's 10 and Dealer B's 15 gets built. The priority is basically a way for the dealer to tell Ford what order they want the trucks built.

And that only matters if there are no constraints! If you have a lower priority #, but a constrained option, you may very well be skipped over for a higher priority # order that is buildable w/in the constraints.

They gave me a 10, said fingers crossed ford builds it. Does Ford even check? My first ford order ever. Reason I ask is that wife I ordered is for the wife. Want to order mine too, just so I am informed of this process. thanks.

My dealer set all new 2023 that were not rollovers from 2022 to priority 19.

If I was paranoid, I could think that since I am using the A-Plan, maybe that is why I'm priority 19.
I will be the 3rd family member in the last 12 months to order using A-plan from this dealer, and neither of those had problems.

Of course, neither of them were for a Maverick.

Area 51 Lariat with lux package, copilot360 assist, 4k tow and FX4. I think priority 19 but that was just on the build sheet we signed (which had defaults like customer name xxxxx and order code 1234) any way to check actual order code? Not too worried since I'm sure it will be constraints that are the primary lead time driver on this one
