Mobil 1 Advanced $4.91qt Wal-mart

I was about to grab a 5qt jug of 5W-30 today for $28 and saw the 12qt bag in a box options and did the math. So the 12qt=$24.55 for 5qts.

It has a spigot like boxed wine so shouldn't be too much of a pain to dispense.

I bought (2) 5qt jugs to do my first oil change so I have a nearly full jug I will refill and use to pour this in the engine then just fill the filter off the tap.

Too bad it's not available in 0W-40, that 12 quart box would be exactly enough oil for a single change in one of my cars, and M1 is the recommended oil in that car......

I can beat that by 1 penny ($28.48)!

Price is back up into the low 40s range, but there is a $15 coupon that brings it back down to high 20s.

And I got 6% back since I used an Amazon credit card and opted for the slow shipping.

It does have a nozzle. I've bought the box in the past but ultimately decided the juice wasn't worth the squeeze....but then I went out and bought 5gal of Royal Purple that doesn't have a nozzle and requires my 8yo son to hold the funnel while I pour it into a 5qt container.

Yea they have those screw in funnels but I can't find anything to hold one in place when pouring used oil into an old 5qt. I've made a habit of getting the largest containers I can find for waste oil. I considered getting some waste oil containers from Amazon for that purpose but unfortunately I have to leave the containers at the dump most times. Nowhere else around me to take waste oil and the giant container at the dump is always locked.

I've had one of these pans for >30yrs. The drain spout is the exact same size as a 2-liter bottle. I don't need a funnel to pour it into an old 5qt jug,

Yea I have something similar to use for the transfer as well. Even on the wide mouth gallon jugs I still need a funnel and a pan underneath them just in case.
