Hey Everyone,
My parents received an email from Ford back on June 7th, stating a delivery date of "July 15th through the 21st."After 3 phone calls to Ford helpline, someone finally said it was 'sitting at a Ford plant, on a ramp "somewhere" in Michigan and would be delivered on July 28th to dealership." As of today (August 7th) there's still no truck, and now the helpline doesn't know where it is.
Keep in mind my parents ordered the truck June 3, 2021. They've been very patient but I feel bad, they're starting to get worried. They had the Ford X plan. And it was an XLT Hybrid with LUX package.
I'm hoping someone on this website someone may have had a similar experience that ended positively, or some helpful advice I can pass on to them.
Thanks!

I hope the dealer didn't get the truck and sell it for a markup without notify your parents. The only way to tell would be to run a history report and see if it's been titled.

It's not the dealership we ordered from, they're a really good dealership. I had a great experience when I received my hybrid Maverick.

They went to the dealership to order June 3 and received a confirmation June 18th 2021.
The Maverick was officially unveiled June 8th (but I do see that there were some internet teasers on the 3rd). Order guides and order banks were not open until June 8th. That was the earliest date possible to order. (I work at a dealership....June 8th was the first time we had concrete info on the Maverick...I ordered my own June 9th).

If your parents' Maverick was built, obviously ROVP was done correctly.

There have been many stories here about shipping delays.
Our small dealership still has many built vehicles (not Mavericks) going into offsite storage facilities, or just very delayed shipping. It isn't surprising, and there really isn't much you can do about it other than just waiting.

The emails from Ford, the info that the helpline has access too, and the info that the dealership has access to on vehicle visibility is all the same. I really don't pay any attention to the ETA. Some vehicles arrive much faster, some are delayed a month or two.

Mine sat at a rail yard for 3 months. Good luck!
