I took delivery on my 2023 Maverick XLT on May 24. Purchased at Garber Automall in Green Cove Springs, Fl. I ordered this truck last September during that 3 day period when the Maverick could be ordered. This truck is fairly loaded, Luxery Package, Ford Co-pilot, plus a few other options.

The MRSP was about 28000, with tax and license the driveout was around 30K. Told them I do not want any of the marshmallow add ons (ie paint sealant, Nitrogen filled tires etc) They complied with my request and did not try to add any money over and above the sticker price.

It was a rather Pleasent experience in purchasing a new car (I generally would rather have a root cannel then to go through a new car purchase through a dealer). I highly recommend Garbor Ford in you want to order a Maverick or any new Ford for that matter. When I bought my maverick, there was another guy buying a new Lightning Electric F-150 that he ordered almost 2 years ago. He paid sticker for it (about 3 times what I paid for my Maverick) but no market adjustment bullshit. He was a happy camper with his new Lighting.

congrats (y) Glad yours wasn't too pushy, it always feels like a waste of time to go through all the add-on sales tactics. I agree, I never add anything to the point of sale financing. I don't want to add interest charges to anything I can do myself or add later for less money and probably do a better job.

A couple examples: I've found many dealer accessories will be on sale at some local dealer if you just look, usually much cheaper than buying with the vehicle. On a larger $$$ scale, you have dealer service plans, oil changes, etc.. First, it's not a big savings and you'll probably get coupons in the mail that won't do you any good if you prepay, second you're financing the service plan so you're paying interest on it, third you won't get your money back if you sell the vehicle before it runs out, that (prorated for your loss) just goes toward the remaining loan balance or they keep it, same with buying extended warranties, and last, what if you have an issue with the dealer and don't like their service, you just financed their service. They always start out by showing you the cost in thousands on paper for these plans and then cut it in half "just for you". I just say "no thanks" to it all
