Who said it was only happening to them? I think every person is aware of the problems in the world. That being said waiting 6-12 months for a basic pick up is horrible. Ford did an absolute shit job communicating. If I ever receive my maverick it’ll most likely be my first and last ford.

I deal with car dealerships daily at work and ford has the most problems
I haven't heard a peep from my dealer since July when I ordered the truck. I knew it would be awhile and I'm not going to bother then asking the same question that I know they don't have the answer to. If you think this is so horrible why haven't you cancelled your order got moved on?

I don't think Ford has done a shit job communicating, I think you have done a shit job of being patient like 100% of the other people on this forum.

So I ordered the first day in June. Just got mine a few weeks ago. Yes, ford and the dealer did not reach out to me with updates. However, every time I contacted Ford, the person I talked to actually found the status of my vehicle and was very nice and provided up to the minute information. I was never once made to feel like my business was not appreciated - but the wait is the wait. Soo, in my experience, no one was going to call me. When I reached out to confirm status, I always started with 'I know you must get a lot a phone calls on this, but can you help me?'. They were very nice on the phone, always. And Im guess they take some crap from impatient people, so thats impressive. I didnt even change my order, I wanted what I wanted. And right now when I pass the gas pump for weeks at a time, I am really glad I got this little hybrid truck that could. Yes, it is more basic, but its a pretty nice basic. Anyway, good luck, and you are in good company - from someone that was at almost 11 months, still worth it. Just reach out to ford and remember, they fielding calls from 100s of thousands of other buyers also waiting.

Nice post. However, how did you order first day in June? IIRC, the public reveal was June 8 and they only took Reservations until Order Banks opened a couple weeks later. Am I missing something?

Probably meant the first day possible in June? I was one day behind....I ordered mine the 9th.

It's only misrepresentation if they knew it not to be true. It's more likely they gave you best case scenario with the information they had at the time. Various factors are fluid and change is the only constant. But if you're one of the still unfulfilled June/July/August orders, then feel free to rant away.

why don’t you read the other posts in here before you say I’ve done a shit job of being patient. You mean like the people who got their January orders made before others with the same build? That’s where ford is doing a shit job. Not everyone lives near a metro city with 1.4 million people. So to build their order before someone’s august order because they went to a bigger dealer is wrong. If you don’t agree with that then sir you are part of the problem.

My dealer was actually very careful to say that it could be longer. Can't really blame them.

People who ordered Broncos had to wait over a year in some cases.

Sorry, I meant first day possible - day of the announcement made my reservation and ordered at the dealer on the 11th I think

Yeah, that was tough for me as well. I went to a smaller 5 star dealer instead, driving past two larger dealers. Still the right thing to do, and seems ford has learned the lesson as they now schedule as ordered vs. by allotment.

My dealer told me he still has customers who ordered Broncos TWO years ago. I don’t know how many Broncos were ordered or have been built, but I don’t think I have seen six on the roads. I do see quite a few Bronco Sports.

When I ordered my Maverick I was told by my dealer I would have it by Feb/March. Ford customer service told me April. It’s now the middle of May and I still don’t have a build date. How is this not misrepresentation?

Neither Ford nor my dealer had any contact til March. It would be 1 thing to update as things changed, but to go completely dark is unacceptable.
When I ordered mine Nov. 5 I was told 2-4 months. But because of this forum I knew better and actually told them I didn't expect it until May. I'm a few months off myself.
