Mirror Skull Cap Body colour on Non-Luxury Package.

Wondering if Ford will have body colour mirror caps for those who did not ordered Lux package. I did not order Lux pack but only considering it for the body coloured mirror colour (don't care for the heated stuff). Is this possible? Does it have to go through dealer to request it? (1st pic is with Luxury Package).

Someone will offer body colored caps that attach with 3m tape.

I've had them on a couple Fords that looked really nice for 1/4 what it cost to have the ford caps.

Are the unpainted ones a textured plastic? If so, having them painted by your local body shop could be more work than it’s worth since they would have to sand them smooth before painting.
I know people have access to the parts fiche (is there a link somewhere?). What does it show for the painted mirror caps?

Unfortunately you will still be stuck with black door handles as well as XLT buyers. Looks like only the Lariat comes with body color matched door handles. C'mon Ford!

I bought these caps off Ebay. Haven't gotten around to painting them yet. Bought automotivetouchup.com color matched paint and clear (Area51) also bought Duplicolor adhesion promotor Test fitted the caps. Looks like they will look good. Attaches with 3m tape.

I painted mine myself, I hate unpainted door handles and mirror caps. Very easy to do if done right, and will last.

They look great, did you completely remove the mirrors from the truck and diid you have to remove the Glass? I saw a You Tube video on how to remove the door handles and that looks pretty easy. Thanks for the info

Yes just removed them off the truck.

The caps seem to fit snuggly even without the tape. I think they will be secure.
