For whatever reason that style hammer is common in Europe. It's a traditional style German machinist cross pein hammer.
had two until my son stole one to tune his BMW. 😉

Strange how some tools are like that. Robertson screws are one that we've adopted but only on decking for some reason. All over Canada they use Robertson and if you use Philips instead, they consider you certifiably insane.

Flathead and you should have all tools taken away from you for life.

In my hardware store all those screws for decking are now Torx, contractors don't want anything else, I also now have metric adjustable wrenches!

I recently flushed and refilled my blinker fluid. Even though the truck didn't tell me that it was yet the mileage interval to do so, better be safe than sorry. Cheap insurance. The flashing seemed to be getting quieter and Google's AI told me it was a good idea to change it.

Factory service manual stated the capacity in ounces but I used european-spec fluid and the bottle had millileters on it. Went through the work of undoing all the underbody fasteners, and then couldn't find the drain plug. All this after I'd already bought a Fumoto valve to make this job easier. I eventually got the old fluid out but I think I got something wrong in the oz. to ml. conversion and now I have the dreaded hyperflash. And I probably voided my warranty because the dealer's parts department didn't have any Motorcraft fluid and I had to order Motul, and even that wasn't easy to get. But at least it's synthetic fluid. Is there a setting in Forscan that I have to change for this switch from dino to synthetic?

I'm awaiting the analysis report from Blackstone on the old fluid. I didn't see any metal particles in it but I know the system doesn't have a filter so fingers are crossed that everything is healthy.

Rotating the muffler bearings is next on the list but I read somewhere that the exhaust system on the hybrids is different than the Ecoboost models. I do have a shop press but I'm not looking forward to that job. Last time I did it on another vehicle, I cracked one of my arbor plates (cheap Harbor Freight cast plates) but thank goodness I didn't get hit by the metal pieces which flew across the garage. But to be safe, I now do wear eye protection and a cup when I use the press.

Do you use a hydraulic press or manual press when changing your muffler bearings . couldn't find specs for that procedure .

is your shop press hydraulic or manual . could not find specs for that procedure . what ft/ pound torque or metrics pressure do you recommend for replacement of muffler ?
