So... is there some magic way to determine a Molex P/N for any given harness connector?

No magic...In this case, looking at what was on my harness end, take some dimensions, pictures then some internet research. Dig deep enough and someone may have already done the research and posted somewhere. Plus, I’ve dealt enough with Ford wiring looms to know they only source a few suppliers. Molex is a key one, Yazaki another. Molex publicly publishes nice drawings of the their offerings along with related BOM needed. Service manual wiring drawings typically will not tell you the connector type unfortunately. I used to have access to Ford drawing archives so that made research real easy but no longer. And BTW, the throw in connector assembly Ford put in your glove box is a variant (option) of the speaker connector.

Then don’t install it… To each his own.
It does eliminate 100% of that B.S. noise.
For those of us not born in the 21st century we’re used to looking over our shoulders when backing up and not relying solely on a camera.
I’m surprised the govt & ins companies haven’t installed a speaker or required loud redneck mufflers on every vehicle.
Gotta warn those pesky deer and suicide squirrels…

I don't understand why people do this. That is what the mirrors are for. In addition, there is the backup camera. Why would a person need to look over their shoulder when backing up?

Old guy here been a lo g time since I was able to look over my shoulder.

Finally installed the MegaOhm device on my 2024 Hybrid Maverick. Love it!!! Included directions okay… Tire removal unnecessary. Removed rock guard, A man with large hand and nimble fingers can install in 30 minutes. Tight space for large hands, minimal cussing, but doable. Zip tied to frame. Works fantastic! The best $$$ ever spent.

How did you get behind the computer module in that wheel well? I can see the speaker but can't access it from the bottom and the computer module (?) is in the way

Installed mine within the first month of getting my 2022 b/c the hybrid sounds like shit LOL.. I post about it all the time and you are 100% right about the hate it inevitably draws. At this point I actually enjoy posting about it and ruffling feathers LOL.

As I recall and noted above, the female connector would merely act as a debris cap on the speaker. So yes, functionally you’d only need the male to connector and terminals to wire in the resistor and thereby inhibit any CEL or throw a DTC. Sorry it’s been a while since I did this and I didn’t take any notes or pictures.
