XLT switchblade key bypass - rekey

Does anyone know close the keyfob chip must be to the ignition keyslot to start the Maverick with the switchblade key? In the push to start Lariat I know the fob simply has to be inside the vehicle (eg. In your pocket or purse.)

There is an induction antenna around the ignition cylinder. This picks up the immobilizer chip in key fob. Has to be very close. . .

If the battery on a smart key fob (push start) runs out you have to put the smart key fob right up against the push button to start. Then your using induction antenna around push start button. Otherwise different antennas are picking up signal from smart key which have a longer range.

There’s actually a place to set down the fob off the battery is dead. It’s listed in the manual. You don’t hold it up to the button.
