Removed my EGR inchannels tonight and installed the Maxzina's. I like that the front have 3m tape, as the EGR's don't, and when the window is cracked open at highway speed where the glass touches the plastic visors they rattle off and on. Drives me bat shit crazy, hopefully these Maxzina's don't since they have 3m take to hold em tight to the window seal.

Installed them in the garage with the heater going at 70f.

Install was straightforward and easy, removed the EGRvisors, cleaned the rubber weather stripping with isopropyl alcohol, then installed the Maxzina's. I do like how the frontsare narrower at the lower front, not blocking the outside rear view mirrors. As the EGR version did.

I'll report back whether or not these rattle at highway speeds like the EGRs did against the glass when cracked an inch or two!

I do like that it looks that these do not sit on the outer window trim or the EGRs did and required a clear protective tape on the bottom to keep from scratching it.

Do these only come in smoke? I would love to get these in textured black to match my hood protector
Its color is between smoke and black.

And here I thought you really wanted the stick on ones trimmed to fit nicely. They didn't block the mirror or "scratch" the glass.
Like these. 👇

Well that's messed up because on the Ford's website they showed a picture of the rear visor extending past the window like AVS does. Oh well too late now enjoying my EGRs.
Update, these are nice and solid, especially the fronts. The 3m tape holds well, no chatter against the glass like the EGR'S with the window cracked open a inch or two. Still great after a week and 2 handwashes.

I put my EGR's back in the box, if you are to purchase the EGR in-channels I would highly recommend installing some 3M tape on them to keep the fronts from chattering against the glass.

These are keepers.

EGR is don't have any chatter if you installed the 3M tape like we had discussed in a different thread.
I know you said you had plenty of it in your garage.
And I'm really surprised you went with in-the-channel again. You were pretty much dead set against them because of your experience with in-the-channel and your f150. 😲

I can vouch for the Maxzina in-channel visors on every front. The do not bind, they do not rattle at speed, the metal clips do not catch or scratch at any point. The smoke color is perfect, not too light not too dark, not BROWN! Hands down the best.

Hey MTC members,

The rain guards have arrived. These are in-channel.The wind deflectors are crafted from impact-resistant PP plastic, tough and long-lasting.They can withstand harsh weather conditions, including heavy rain and snow. Moreover, they are UV-resistant, which can reduce glare caused by sunlight. Colored materials also provide additional protection against glare.

The weather shields are designed to protect from rain, snow, and other debris. By acting as a shield, they prevent water from obscuring the rearview mirror’s surface, which can improve visibility during inclement weather and enhance driving safety.

Our in-channel window visors are easy to install without the need for drilling. They feature an in-channel design that not only ensures a more secure installation but also reduces wind noise. Additionally, they come with double-sided tape for direct sticking and firm fixation. We also provide an installation video for your reference. Note: Low temperatures (below 10°C/50°F) can weaken the adhesive strength. If necessary, use a hair dryer to enhance adhesion. Avoid exposure to water for 24 hours after applying the tape.

Note:Will not obstruct the line of sight

I just installed these on my 2022 XLT. The process was not difficult (the video helps), but I ran into two things folks might want to be aware of.

First, when peeling the red cover tape off the adhesive strips it is easy to accidentally peal the gray adhesive strip itself off the plastic wind deflector. It takes very little force to do it, so you have to be careful.

Second, fitting the front deflectors into the channel is harder than it looked. After the front is fitted in, the deflector has to be bent quite a bit to get the back end into the channel. I was afraid I was going to break it, but it survived intact. A bit of warning on this would have helped.

They've only been on for an hour, but I like the look better than the alternatives I have seen. And the view of the mirrors from the driver's seat is unobstructed.
