I purchased and installed the long awaited lower door kick panel protectors from Maxzina, every Maverick owner needs this to keep the lower door kick panels from being destroyed. There are many more high scratch opportunities for more interior products. For anyone who does not want the door kick scratches this is well worth $20.00 if the scratches don't bother you save the $20.00. They bother me a lot. Thank you Maxzina, great product.

That product looks like it's useful. The price isn't out of line either.

I was just looking into these, but not feom Maxzina. I’d feel better purchasing them from a brand like Maxzina.

I have had great luck with Maxzina products and they stand by what they sell. This was the best purchase for me as anyone who gets in the truck is going to scratch that area 3 out of 5 times. When you open the door it's the first thing you see.

What I have learned when applying products that use double sided tape you must clean the area good with Isopropyl Alcohol and let it dry. Then use the supplied bonding primer pads and wait 5 minutes before attaching to the plastic. This should be done in warmer weather or carefully use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the plastic and the product you are going to attach.

For cleaning surfaces before application of adhesives 91% isopropic alcohol is better than 70%.
A lot of folks don't realize 91% isopropic alcohol exists.

Ordered!
Tired of my wife using her foot to kick her door open. Both knees replaced, has big trouble bending left leg. She opens door then kicks to open at thatlower panel. It will be my Christmas present to her. And to my relief.

Thanks for bringing this product to my attention, this was one of my long term concerns with the Maverick, I will be investing in these shortly!

Is that going to dry out the plastic or otherwise damage it?

Nope
Denatured alcohol or brake cleaner might but not 91% Isopropyl is still a rubbing alcohol, safe for skin.

Thanks, I get a little concerned putting anything too harsh on plastic.

Thanks for the post. I'm definitely getting this for the rear driver's side since it's the Pre-K door. Not sure if I'll install it elsewhere or not.

I bought the xipoqix brand. Same product but I used a heat gun on the strips in addition to alcohol pads and the prep pads to help with the adherence to the door panels.
