Ohhhh...yeah I dont have any pets but have seen some dogs obsessed with digging -- leaving some dogs alone in the car could definitely come back to chewed up wiring with some dogs. Dogs with the explorer bug

Lol well put. I just don't like seeing them and often I find myself kicking my boots for mud, snow and all the elements. So for me it's worth what I paid for it.
I also have animals that I frequently put in my vehicle so this would definitely keep them away from exploring that area. Especially my nosy and curious cat...

Haha! You got me. I was like, “dang, I don’t want my underdash wiring getting damaged!” So I went and looked up under there and nope, there’s absolutely nothing up there that’s going to get damaged by having people sit in the front seats. Seems like a waste of time and money.

Steel sheet metal is a very poor noise insulator. If that's what you want you better buy some spray foam for your plate too
