In my opinion, the SC pickup's real problem is not MPG or anything else, but why is Hyundai so slow? They have this concept in 2015, and wait 6 years to make it true. If they revealed SC in 2017 or 2018, they would have several good years already.

probably waiting on the new platform. But still that came out for the 2019 models. Why wait 3 years later?

I like the looks of the Maverick a lot more

Agree 100%. The Santa Cruz looks like a sportier Subaru Baja. The Maverick looks like a Ranger. Without a side by side comparison, it's even hard to tell that it's smaller than a Ranger.
