I just wrapped up a nice week in Maine, visiting the coast and eating lots of lobster...also stayed at an inland lake at the end of a 3-mile dirt road with lots of potholes. The Mav did great! Kind of missed my old Tacoma, but not that much, especially at the gas pump (47mpg average).. But I did notice a ton of Santa Cruzes wandering the roads of the North Country. Many more than I usually see in the Mid-Atlantic area, including delivery vehicles and trade folks. Do they just have a super sales team working in Maine? Overall, I think the Maverick outsells the Santa Cruz about 3 to 1.

There is one around me.

I'd hate to be them if it needs warranty work. Rural Montana and owning a Hyundai... yea, you are gonna be SOL for MONTHS minimum.

Then again... it's not much better for us 🤣
But at least the network is there. Don't like the one near you, go to another etc etc...
How many Hyundai dealerships are up here? 4 in a 1,000 mile radius lol and that's 2 in other states.

Plus it just looks weird. Too "ute" for me.

Santa Cruz is better for towing and ride quality since it is more like an SUV than a truck. Only the turbo engine is any good (slightly worse mileage than the 2.0L Eco) but that engine used to require their high end model which ends end costly more than the Mav. If that engine was available in the lower end models when I was looking I would have bought one since I wanted 5K towing. I think they shot themselves in the foot by limiting which engine you could get based on their model costs....very wrong move by upper management. Their sales would have been much better if they allowed their turbo to be available in any model without regards to option packages. Their non turbo engine sucks big time and drinks gas- probably still a carb!
