Maverick Tremor - Malfunction Indicator Light / CEL at 700 miles

Sadly the malfunction indicator light came on today @700 miles. ;( I hope it’s not a huge problem since im out of town and need to get back on Friday.

A bit disappointing but I still LOVE this truck.

an auto parts store can usually pull the codes for you, may just be something not fully seated or plugged in during assembly.

If you go into your Ford pass app on your phone, it will tell you more about the code.

Yep. First step: check FordPass app to see if it has any information about the code(s) that were set.

If that's not informative enough, any major auto parts chain should be able to help you out with a free code reader service. Smaller auto parts stores often will be glad to do it as well. Their hope is that you find out what needs fixing and buy the parts from them.

Outside air temp sensor .. maybe it’s confused because it’s 70 degrees in Jan (Texas) :}

Will schedule something with dealer. I’m glad it’s a minor thing.

did you have the codes pulled or did the pass app display the fault?
