I took the Maverick out on the interstate and did some city driving today. The muffler is very quiet at speed. When I was on the gas, I can hear it a bit, but it's not too loud. I'm very satisfied with the tone.

I have the Trail-Rated Sidekick. I was excited when I first saw and heard this product. I purchased and installed 1 week ago. The product itself is high quality. The install didn't go so well. The provided screws for the rubber isolator immediately stripped going into the thick steel. I finally found some that sort-of worked, but never got tight. I went around it with JB Weld, and it's solid now. On to the next problem: I never could get the band clamp tight enough, so it would rest on the pinch weld, and make gawd awful noises/rattles. I really torqued on it with a 1/2" ratchet (3 different days). I had to spend $88 additional to have a shop weld it.

Next, on to the noise. Exterior sounds ok. It's not raspy nor farty. However, the interior is unbearable. Seriously, I'll be embarrassed to give anyone a ride other than a family member whom knows I made a poor decision. Interior is very loud while accelerating normally around town. There is a constant humm at steady highway speeds as well. Now I'm on a quest for a resonator. Shop #1 said there's no room. I think there is (between muffler and cat).

I may have to bite the bullet (now over $350 in), and buy an expensive system that exits out the rear.
