Another white, bare bones, fleet sale Maverick XL eco hit the road the beginning of the year.
My nephew bought this one for his company.

$8,000.00 more than a comparable 2022 model.
Is that a 2025 or 2026 AWD with the 2.0 EB? If so that's $1,545.00 less than the MSRP was on my 2025 XLT AWD with the 2.0 EB.

Sorry here is the other side.
Nope it's a 2025 AWD, EcoBoost.
And he got $1,900 off on the price because it was a 2025 sold just before Christmas.
So basically he got it for MSRP tax and title.

Ford produces on a bell curve more or less. If the majority of the fleet vehicles are XL then they simply cannot make up the significant percentage of the increased sales.

Yes there are fleet sales, but I would put them at less than 10% total for all Mavericks.

I see 25 personal Mavericks for every 1 fleet or commercial Maverick here in Central Ohio. Neither one of our personal experiences and data points are significant.
I think we often notice fleet vehicles because they're often all sitting in the same parking lot, are often painted the same. or have that "Hi. I'm a fleet vehicle" look. They're often roaming the same area. But the individual vehicles are scattered, painted various colors, etc. Five Mavericks used by O'Reilly Auto parts sitting in a parking lot and running around the same 20 mile radius will APPEAR more plentiful than TEN Mavericks scattered around town that get driven to various jobs, sit for 8 hours, then go home and sit all night with an occasional trip to the store.

Guys, we don't want to be cheering for Maverick fleet sales. Fleet sales depress resale values, as those used vehicles hit the market. Many fleets (rentals, for example) resell their vehicles very quickly (yes, others keep them many years) because reselling is actually a profit driver - remember that fleets buy at a significant volume discount.

Also, OEMs hate fleet sales. See the bit about discounting above. Fleet sales are low margin. Although Ford does recoup some lost margin on fleet management software and services for those fleets that sign on.

PS: Around here the fleet Maverick I see all the time is the safety vehicles for oversize loads. We have a manufacturer of modular homes in the area, and our interstates always have a wide load with Mavericks fore and aft. They do, by the way, have some really cool safety light bar setups.
I understand what you're saying to a degree. But I believe fleet sales don't hurt Trucks as much as they hurt cars. The f150 Silverado are probably the most popular fleet vehicles. And they have a high resale value. A fleet vehicle LOOKS like a fleet vehicle even with the 2nd owner. It's often the vehicle with zero options, often with the faint images of the writing on the side, and marks in the interior where the company radio was mounted. They often have that "this used to be a ___" look. That's the main reason I didn't want an XL. Those wheels scream FLEET 😂 .

Our local place has a 25 or so outside and when you look quickly, it resembles Area 51 but upon further investigation it is that azure grey.

😥 I gotta Hold onto My 2022.
With Ford charging.. ($495.00 / $995.00 did the $$$ go Up?) For the "Azure"...

A51 is long gone, never to return...😭😭

Never have been and never will be a fan... of Metallics...

I only had one vehicle repainted.. My 1st (1970 Galaxie). My 2033 Maverick will be my 2nd. :ROFLMAO:

In a way I am glad it is gone. Kinda like mystic chrome from the old Cobra. Now of course it isn't the same thing but it's nice to have a vehicle with a color now extinct.
