The higher the trim the less the value will hold.

Question - Do you think the Maverick will hold its value down the road? I own a 23 Hybrid with currently 20k miles on it and I have only owned it for 8 months. We put on a lot of highway miles. My concern is that in 2-4 years i will have 60-100K miles and the value of the maverick will depreciate greatly. Should I be concerned with this?

My maverick was $30K out the door and I'm trying to make the best investment on a car that will hold its value. The Maverick is unknown.
YES, you should be, because of your high mileage, you will not get a high price if you sell. Why don't you get an ESP from Grainger Ford, and not have to worry about repairs in the future? Keep your truck 5 or 6 yrs, then sell it with a transferable warranty so the next owner can feel safe buying it.

it's bullshit-based.

to a dealer, trade value is based largely upon book value which will be a percentage and indeed the whole market goes up and down. configurations that have gone up in price will hold value better, but for a maverick this is mostly a hybrid thing and we all know hybrid mavericks are worth more than average on the used market.

for real people driving the vehicle and not just buying/trading to flip it for a profit, the features can matter a lot. a '22 xl without cruise for example will be very unpopular unless the buyer is aware of how easy it is to add cruise. mavericks with 4k tow will be worth more than other ecoboost models, and so on.

I've resold several Mavericks. You can check yourself just by getting offers for Carvana and Carmax online. All you need is the VIN.

BS based. Ha. Just like I told the other person you can fact check this yourself pulling Carvana and Carmax offers. Also, you can play around adding the features you think actually matter and see how little the offer changes. I have a Master's in Carvana offers at this point.

I just sold my 6th Maverick this weekend which was my one year old loaded 2023 Area51 Lariat Lux hybrid with 11k miles. Got $31k for it for versus the MSRP of $34,125. Luckily my total including tax and registration was only $31494.84 due to A plan and my $2750 private offer. $0 down.

Compare that to XLs (Ecoboost and hybrids) I sold for $8-$10k profit each with no plan pricing or incentives which means I paid MSRP plus dealer fees, tax, and reg. Sure the miles were under 100 and the were just a couple months old but they would still been better profit centers than the Lariat Lux. There was one Catcus Grey XL EB I drove for 8 months. Sold it for $28k versus my its $23,440 MSRP which was still a nice profit for a truly used Maverick.

I admit having 3 at the same time waiting for the registration of my 2 flips to show up was stressful.
