Based on my current location, “Florida” and it’s ability to look a lot like Mexico in certain areas, it will most likely be filmed mostly in FLA. however TX offers the same benefits, apart from the cost of relocating crew and cast to location.. when I say the budget is small, I mean the cost of the Mavs will be a good chunk of the budget. .. if anything changes in that situation of course that expands potential shoot locations.. the Texas open roads and landscape offer a lot more potential than Florida, but money will control much, and camera angles to filter perspective.. lol.

again.. you feedback is highly appreciated, and I will retain all info just in case..

first movie is “Guadalupe Gold.“ (working title).

I love Texas, and if I had the money and time, TX would be my first choice to shoot. .. i used to do the county fair in Beaumont, and another in Lubbock. I lived in Canton for a while, worked all the Trade days in east TX. The people are amazing, as is the ethic and standards.. but im in florida. And gonna have to make that work.. lol.

Lmao.. you can’t have a heist movie without a love entanglement. So it’s kind of the plot of all of them. Evil villains are more appropriate for my second movie, if it ever happens.. and that would look good filmed in Texas also.. lol. As the 4th movie really needs a plethora of evil villains. So who knows..

I think Florida summer looks like Texas winter.. lol. The heat drain, the humidity.. and of course TX is a pretty big place, so I’m generalizing about south/mid/west Texas ..

So. 2023/24 I aim to make my first movie, a heist movie.

I have 2 mavericks on order, and of course will be lucky to see either. But if I do, I still need a third, base XL hybrids are the only option for the script, although three tremors could work also.

the star of the movie will be the Mavs, think the 3 Hondas from fast and furious, or the three minis from the Italian job.. so what do you think, shall I use the Mavs or wait for the 2024 Rancheros.

the cast will basically be Americans and American Latinos. It will be a multi lingual film, low budget, and a lot of jumping sand dunes in Mexico.,

please let me know your thoughts.

There is a town in deep south Texas that when you are leaving town there is a sign "Next service station 79 miles"!

I have done many a road trip through Texas. And had the best steak in the world their.. it is definitely a learning curve as a LONDON BRIT, to realize the distance and vastness of gaps in humanity once you go west of Dallas. I only just learned that only 15% of Americans live between Dallas and Vegas. its basically a wasteland. But damn it’s pretty.

I lived in Canton, sold at Beaumont, Winney, Houston, Kountz and all the way west to Quartzite AZ, up To Vegas and both the gun show and Mexican market, I’ve worked Roswell NM and up to Lubbock, then back east. A few times over the years. So dodged the crooked cops on the i10 and paid off those in Oklahoma. So where did I miss.. lmao.. where should I go back and check out.

I beautiful trip. I sold at the jockey lot in Lafayette one year then across the I10 to quartzite AZ. Into Cally, up to Hollywood, back to Vegas, got stuck at my fave place, (the Grand Canyon) then drifted back east to SC. i mostly run rural. Roads because I’m not in a hurry to be anywhere as much as I am itchy to keep moving.

in January I will leave FL for Vegas via silicone valley (Vegas flamingo booked for 3 days, Feb 26). that will be an income pivot point. The ASD show in Vegas is about securing MERCH to fund the movie. So very pivotal..
