Two weeks ago I ran over a nail and had to use my spare. Very glad I got the full size spare option. I found a flat, safe location and set about changing the tire. I have had my 2023 XL for over a year and this was the first time I really looked at the jack. The sticker on the jack is fairly useless.

The sticker on the jack clearly says "MAVERICK" but the image is of a single cab truck. There are no single cab Mavericks that I am aware of. Would it have killed the guy making the sticker to use a double cab image to more clearly show the jack points? Also, I am not sure what all of the images on the sticker are supposed to convey.

I am curious if some of the newer Mavericks have the same jack sticker.

Also the QR code brought up videos on changing the tire but not an official Ford video which to me was kind of odd.

Images show from left to right: warning check manual, set parking brake, put in reverse or park, then below that shows you should chalk the wheel diagonally from the one you are working on, then it shows the jack should be placed to hold the pinch weld along the body.

Don't forget the "do not work under the truck while it's on the jack" picture!

If you look carefully on the plastic along the bottom of the sides of the truck, there are two arrows that show where to place the jack.

That sticker is pretty funny. It looks like it shows a 1990s Ford ranger.
Also shows a hand lever for the parking brake which the Maverick doesn't have.
Shows an option for a manual transmission which the Maverick doesn't have.
Shows the automatic transmission having a shift lever not a rotary knob like the Maverick has.

This just proves that Maverick product manager is pretty much inattentive to details.

Why does it matter what kind of truck is on the sticker? Why do people find the stupidest stuff to complain about?

In response to why does it matter what kind of sticker is on the truck, I am reminded of the Van Halen brown M&Ms demand. I was reading a biography on Eddie Van Halen and someone in the book addressed this.

Eddie Van Halen was obsessed with putting on a good show. Their contracts had numerous demands and stipulations that had to be met for them to do a concert. The most famous one was a stipulation that on their snack table they were NOT to be served any brown M&Ms. Failure to comply would allow them to cancel the concert.

In the book, they said that rule made everyone think they were a bunch of divas. There was a solid logical reason for asking that no brown M&Ms be served. When Van Halen arrived at a concert hall one of the first things they would check, was to see if the brown M&Ms were removed. If the concert venue had been that big a stickler for details, and made sure something so insignificant as making sure the brown M&Ms were removed, they felt more confident that the venue paid even more attention to the important details.

If something as insignificant as a jack sticker a.k.a. brown M&Ms (again this is not a sticker for Ford trucks in general, the label clearly states this label is for a Ford MAVERICK) you have to wonder what other details were ignored.

Details, man, details.
