I installed a set of 2022 Bronco Sport rims and tires on my hybrid. I’m getting the low pressure error. It says right rear but I have 35 in each tire. I’m thinking the tpms in the bronco tires aren’t compatible. I still have the tpms from the other tires. Can you just remove the sensor from the valve stem?

Do you think I have a bad sensor right rear?

If they were incompatible it seems unlikely just one wouldn't be. Did you pair them to the vehicle using a TPMS tool or other method, or just by driving it?

Just driving. Don’t have a tool. Any other way to pair?

You could try by putting it in TPMS learn mode and then going around starting LF decreasing/increasing the air pressure until the horn sounds. Remember to have driven up to at least 20 mph within 30 minutes beforehand so the sensors are awake.

Personally I've never particularly had luck with that method on the older Fords I work on. I typically use one of the little Motorcraft remotes; there's aftermarket clones that are pretty cheap but can't speak to their efficacy.

OP, have you changed your spare tire in any way? If not, I would move the tire in question to another position and drive it for a day to see if it relearns.

The TPMS could have been damaged during installation.

All your tires appear low.

I have 35 psi in all of them. Not reading correctly.

Buy a 10 dollar TPMS tool on Amazon and find out if it's a bad sensor or what. Easiest way if you ask me. Put the Mav into relearn mode and relearn them all in less than 2-3 minutes.

Well,,,,,,, come to find out the rims I bought from the guy didn’t have sensors in them. Put the sensors in (with the help of my cheap harbor freight bead buster) from the steel wheels and all is fine now. If anyone needs to know the screw holding the sensor to the valve is a number 10 star bit.
