If that D ring slides (which it looks like it does), that would equalize the load between the two points. I wish I got that one instead of the 2 separate hooks. Here is a picture of what you posted for the future when the ebay link goes dead.

Have you tried these out yet?

I like this.

No matter what:
You want the TOWING / PULLING vehicle to be as close to straight ahead as possible. This setup is good when you are off an inch or two and who isn't.

But I'd not pull more than 10°-15° angle to the side unless really desperate. And out of all other options.

Here is what will work for sure. On my phone for ease of photo uploads. Will go on desktop to add more words and link to product.

That is a full sized can of soda. For scale. This weighs probably 15 pounds. Not going to break......

The "J" hook works great. Does not fall out and can be wiggled all around and won't fall out. Of the other two options for hooks on this strap, the "big T" does not fit. No way. The smaller "T" can actually be slid into the hole if you get the angle perfect. But it does not "go in" very far, so I would not want to rely on it. Definitely would not fall out though, since it takes some effort to even get the "small T" into the hole in the Maverick.

Link to it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MSM3482

I got the "3" x 24" w/RTJ Clusters". But like I mentioned above, the only one in the "cluster" that really works well is the "J" hook.
